Lucky Bamboo leaves - will they grow?

I made a mistake and forgot to put my new stalks AWAY from the cats' reach and overnight they decided to chew the leaves off. Needless to say, the majority of the leaves are damaged. So even though quite a bit of the leaves are chewed off at this point, I'm wondering - are the stalks goners or will the leaves start to sprout again? If so, how long would it take?
