Can I put OPI Shatter over my nail polish if I already used clear coat?

I have solar nails. I was just at the nail salon to get a fill & color change & I don't like the color I picked. I was wondering if I could paint my black shatter over it even though there's already a type of clear coat (not sure what they used?) over my polish color?
